-
Thanks to the grant from the Stow Community Chest, the Stow Food Pantry was able to provide essential food, personal care items, and grocery gift cards to local families in need. Because the Pantry is run entirely by volunteers, 100% of all funds go directly toward supporting clients.
In 2024, the Food Pantry served 30–40 Stow families each month, helping 53 unique families (including 59 adults, 29 children, and 27 seniors) and totaling 875 individual visits throughout the year.
-
Thanks to the support of the Stow Community Chest, the Scouts were able to purchase essential gear—such as lightweight cooking sets for six patrols—used in the backpacking and camping trips that make up about 60% of all outings.
-
The Stow Community Chest was the single largest source of funding for Warm Hearts of Stow in 2024, making possible a wide range of programs that supported local families and seniors throughout the year.
With Community Chest support, Warm Hearts:
Delivered Valentine’s goodie bags to 28 seniors
Provided Easter meals and baskets for 50 clients, including families and seniors
Sent 6 children to Camp Stow, supported one CIT, and provided beach passes for 9 families
Distributed school supplies and clothing gift cards to 24 students
Supplied warm winter clothing to 16 children
Gave Thanksgiving grocery gift cards to 58 families

With support from the Stow Community Chest, The Healing Garden provided compassionate, integrative care to 11 Stow residents aged 43–76 over the past year, delivering 180 total units of care through its wellness and cancer support programs.
Services included 42 bodywork sessions (massage and acupuncture), 123 program sessions in areas such as fitness, mindfulness, yoga, expressive arts, farm share, Qigong, and educational lectures, as well as 13 support group sessions for individuals in treatment, post-treatment, and those under 50 living with cancer.
Recipients expressing appreciation for the donations they receive.
“The generous funding received has enabled us to serve our community. Two summers ago in 2023, we brought back field trips with Camp Stow, after a 4 year hiatus, at no cost to our campers to ensure no child got left behind due to inability to pay.”
- Boys & Girls Club
“Last year's funds were used to purchase a massage chair to enhance a quiet space in our hospital called the BWell Center, which allows staff to have an opportunity to relax, restore and replenish themselves.”
- Emerson
“Your ongoing support of Early Intervention has not only benefited the children in the Stow community, but also the more than 700 children in our nine-town catchment area who sought our services last year.”
